My endometriosis journey started off like most teenage girls - being ignored for having a “bad period” and consequently being given the pill. Years later, after continued persistent pain, I passed out with suspected “ruptured appendix” and was prep’d for a surgery I didn’t need, as my blood results later showed up normal & the pain that had been ignored for years, finally become bad enough for doctors to realise passing out from period pain might not be so normal! 2 major surgeries, 6 scars & countless scans/ MRIs later, I am learning to live with the symptoms of stage 4 endometriosis as a 25 year old and the monthly effects that has on PMDD. Learning your body, your menstrual phases and understanding our 28 day clock is the most important part to managing symptoms and I hope sharing my practices & experience can help you and your loved ones!
